Excluding/restricting categories on the Simple Pro Featured Posts widget?

Is it possible to use the All Categories selection on the Featured Posts widget but restrict or hide one or two categories? I’m using it on a website right now and at the top, we want to feature All New Posts, except for those that are in the Podcast category — those are featured in their own widget lower on the page and I’d prefer that they be excluded from the top.

I know that I can select an individual category for the widget, but I don’t see an option to just exclude one. And if I have to, I know that I can create a new category and put all posts except those in the podcast category into it, and then just select that “Featured” or new category in the widget but I’d prefer not having to use that workaround.

You can’t exclude the specific category right now.
