ParticipantHi Davinder, do you mean the log-in info for my WP dashboard?
nomad_jess
ParticipantHi Davinder,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I looked in the CSS file under media queries and couldn’t see a section for 768px? Am I missing something? Closest was 800px so I tried pasting the code in that section, but it didn’t seem to change anything.
Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and kind regards,
Jess

ParticipantSorry, it’s the extra semi-colon. I see it now.
It seems to have worked. One problem though is that the slider doesn’t slide automatically. If you swipe your finger across it, it will move. But the reader won’t know there are other posts as it appears to be a static image. Is there any way to rectify this?
Thank you so much!

ParticipantHi Chinmoy,
Thank you for getting back to me. Forgive me, but is there any difference between this code and the previous one you sent me?

ParticipantHi Chinmoy,
Just wondering if there is another solution for this problem? I might just have to delete the slider completely otherwise as having our mobile site looking the way it does at the moment is really affecting our stats.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ParticipantThanks for the code. Unfortunately it has deleted the slider images and is just displaying the black box. The black box also has the same formatting issues of the previous slider – text cut off and a huge ‘read more’ button. The black box also seems to be static – just remaining on the one post, rather than rotating between them.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
nomad_jess
ParticipantYes, let’s try that option.
Thank you so much!

ParticipantOK, so that worked. But the ‘read more’ button is huge (covering most of the image) and the title text is again cut off. Is there a way to correct the formatting?
Thanks so much!

ParticipantOK, just tried it. But unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have changed anything, even after flushing the cache. Any other suggestions?
Thanks so much!

ParticipantBut then the caption will come back, right?
I added the display: none code as a result of discussion in another thread. The photos/text were being cut off in the slider in mobile view, so it was suggested I hide the caption. But hiding that also hid the ‘read more’ button. I didn’t receive a reply to that so I made a new thread here.
If there is a way to add the ‘read more’ button in mobile view without the caption and keep the formatting in check, that would be great. Otherwise, I’m trying to link the title so that the slider is clickable in mobile view. Right now you can’t click through to anything.
Many thanks in advance!

ParticipantOK, so display: none seems to have worked. But it has also removed the ‘Read more’ button and the post title is not linked. How can I make the title clickable through to the post?
nomad_jess
ParticipantSuccess! Thank you!
nomad_jess
ParticipantHi Chinmoy,
OK. Sorry, what would be the code for that?
Caption: hide; ?
nomad_jess
ParticipantThank you, but unfortunately adding that code to the style.css file didn’t seem to change anything. Are there any other possibilities?
Thank you so much!
